Queens: 20th Road - 42nd Street

(1) 20th Road (Old Bowery Bay Road), north side, east of 42nd Street, showing at the left, on the east side of a carriage path, the site of the Samuel H. Moore house of 1852. The Titus family occupied it from 1891-1896. The early history of this place is, that Samuel Moore purchased in 1684 a farm near the Poor Farm of Wm. Hallett Sr. Joseph Moore, his son, was the next owner followed by John Moore, a brother of Joseph. David, a son of John Moore, was next in line. May, 1923. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
