Richmond: Watchogue Road - Stewart Avenue

(1) 441 Watchogue Road, adjoining the N.W. corner of Stewart Avenue (formerly Willowbrook Road), showing the Pero House, dating back to colonial times. The house derives its name from Peter Pero, who distinguished himself in the Civil War. The property was bought by Garret Cruser in 1739; Daniel Winant owned it in 1839; William H.
