Brooklyn: Elmore Place - Avenue P

(1) 1669 Elmore Place (East 22nd Street), at the S.E. corner of Ave. P., showing the William Bennett house, which was erected in 1766 for Andrew and Henry Wyckoff who sold it in 1835, to Cornelius W. Bennett together with 100 acres. It has remained in the Bennett family up to the present time. In the 1870's, this house was turned so that it faced west instead (south?). April 1923. Eugene L.
