Manhattan: Carl Schurz Park - Gracie Mansion.

Carl Schurz Park: A set of 3 views of the Gracie Mansion, located in the northern end of the Park at what would be the foot of East 88th Street, if the street continued to the East River. This set shows the front of the house, that overlooked the East River. 1913. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. The house was made the official residence of the Mayor of the City of New York on January 8, 1942 by an act of the Board of Estimate. See "The New York Times," January 9, 1942.
