Stapleton, Staten Island: Shown is a general view, in a southeasterly direction, of the town of Stapleton, as seen from Tompkins Circle on Pavilion Hill. Shown too, are piers Nos. 10 to 16, constituting the Foreign Trade Zone, fronting on Murray Hulbert Avenue. In the center foreground is the clocktower of Public School No. 15, on St. Pauls Avenue; in the distant right background is the Wrigley chewing gum factory and the hills of Concord; across the bay is the shore of the borough of Brooklyn. Pictures 2 and 3 show a more restricted view of the foreground area with only piers 12 to 16 visible in view 2; in the center background of view 3 appears the United States Marine Hospital at Bay Street and Vanderbilt Avenue.
