Queens: Union Turnpike - 135th Street
Union Turnpike, north side, between 135th and Main Streets, showing two views of new houses, which were constructed on former farmland on either side of Vleigh Place, formerly The Head of Vleigh Road. View 1 shows an area of small individual houses between 135th Street and Vleigh Place; View 2, an apartment house between VLeigh Place and Main Street. The views are northwestward towards the World's Fair Grounds in Flushing Meadow Park (Ferisphere & Trylon), across Grand Central Parkway in the depression behind the field; seen from 82nd and Coolidge Avenues.
