Richmond: Richmond Terrace - Tysen Street

Richmond Terrace, south side, between Tysen Street and Kissel Avenue. Shown is the Main Building of Sailors' Snug Harbor, the home for destitute seamen. The Harbor was founded in 1801 by the will of Captain Robert Richard Randall and the asylum was opened in August, 1933. It occupies many acres of land and contains over fifty buildings.
