Manhattan: Duane Street - City Hall Place

(1) Duane Street, east from and including City Hall Place, to but not including Park Row. This view shows "St. Andrew's" Roman Catholic Church on the N.E. corner of Duane Street and City Hall Place. (3) The same as No. 1 and showing a farther view to Park Row. Adjoining the church are No's. 25 and 29 Duane Street, the 6-story and corner building being No. 100 Park Row. St. Andrews R.C. Church was originally a Congregational organization (1808) which was succeeded by a Methodist group. It was used for some years as a wine house. The present group first occupied the premises in 1842.
