Manhattan: Broome Street - Hudson Street

Entrance to Holland Vehicular Tunnel, site of 578-582 Broome Street, north side, east of Hudson Street, showing four policemen and a toll collector keeping order as pleasure cars take the plunge into the tile lined tunnel, nearly a mile long. The officer at the right is trying to look severe and dignified, much to the amusement of the one in the right rear of the group. Summer 1928. Ewing Galloway.
