Manhattan: 8th Avenue - 24th Street (West)

Eighth Avenue, east side, north from W. 24th Street (right), as viewed from a point on the west side of the Avenue close to 23rd Street. The large office structure shown is at N.E. corner of West 26th Street and is of recent construction. Note the cobblestone street pavement and the surface car tracks. On the completion of the Municipal Subway (Eighth Avenue) both of these features will disappear.
