Manhattan: Dyckman Street - Henshaw Street

(1) Dyckman Street, north side, from but not including Henshaw Street, to but not including Staff Street. This is a two story frame house. October 26, 1927. P. L. Sperr. (2) A more inclusive view eastward. October 1923. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. (3) A view similar to No. 2. These frame structures have disappeared today (1938), their sites being included in Inwood Hill Park with the newly constructed Henry Hudson Parkway traversing same. Old Bolton Road curved around at the rear of this view and several the homes shown fronted on same. About 1922 the City took title and permitted the inhabitants to remain until plans matured, which as before-mentioned came to a satisfactory conclusion recently. Several individuals of prominence resided here and the writer believes that Gen. U.S. Grant's son was one and not necessarily in those shown. May 1920. George L. Balgue.
