Queens: 160th Street - Archer Avenue

160th Street, north from Archer Avenue, near the Long Island Railroad tracks. On the left is the John Everett house, three stories high. It was also known as the Continental Hall, where the Jamaica Odd Fellows used to meet. View 2 shows the east side of the street, the house with the peak-roof having been owned by H.C. Ham in 1873. On the left, the peak-roof house with the stores built in front of it, was owned by Ben Everett, and by J. B. Remsen in 1873. View 3 shows the H. C. Ham house, at the N. E. corner of Archer Avenue, after half the building has been cut away when Archer Avenue (right) was cut through. It is now being used as a store for new and second hand building materials.
