Bronx: Jessup Avenue - Jessup Place

(1) 1419 Jessup Ave., south of the S.W. corner of Jessup Place, showing the Devoe Cottage. It was built in 1804 by descendants of the Huguenot family of Devaux. The G.W. Bromley map of 1923 as revised to September 1932, shows the site to be occupied by a six-story apartment house, the Devoe Arms. Gift of Randall Comfort. 1907.
