Manhattan: 48th Street (West) - 8th Avenue

West 48th Street, north side, west from (No. 241, right) a point east of Eighth Ave., and across same. Shown in the foreground and east of the N.E. corner is the Artef Theatre (No. 249). The large building appearing west of the Ave. is the Hotel Belvedere. At Ninth Ave. is discernible the Elevated structure. This set consists of a negative and a positive. September 1935. W.P.A.
