North (Hudson) River - Piers 89-91.

North (Hudson) River, showing piers 89 (partially obscured by barges) and 90, off Twelfth Ave., at the foot of West 49th and 50th Streets, respectively. These piers were later demolished and on the site of pier 90 was constructed (between 1931 and 1934) a new 1000 foot dock to accommodate large ocean liners (Pier 89 was not rebuilt). April 10, 1931.
