Astoria, L.I. ---- A Panorama of Manhatten spires greets this ironworker as he looks toward the New York skyline from the Astoria tower of the Triboro Bridge. The project, started 16 years ago, will be finished in 1936. Through government funds it has given jobs to 18,000 men. The series of bridges will connect Manhatten, Brooklyn, and the Bronx and will be one of the greatest projects of its kind in engineering history. International News Photo 1934
