Manhattan: South Street - Clinton Street

South Street, east from Clinton Street to Montgomery Street. At the latter point, this thoroughfare veers to the right one block and then continues along the waterfront. The apparent street continuation at the left is Front Street. Note Gouverneur Hospital with its distinctive balconies there. In 1940, all the buildings between the East River and Front Street will be removed to provide for the new marginal highway, the East River Drive. 1. March 30, 1934 2. Sept. 18, 1939
