Brooklyn: Emmons Avenue - Sheepshead Bay Road

Emmons Avenue, east from Sheepshead Bay Road, showing the W. P. A. widening the avenue, as part of the City's new belt parkway system which will gird the five boroughs. The thoroughfare was widened about twenty feet, which necessitated the filling in of part of Sheepshead Bay, the razing of old piers and boat houses, and the construction of a new bulkhead. The building--in Spanish architecture--seen on the left in the four views, is the Lundy Brothers Restaurant.
