Queens: 62nd Drive - 108th Street

62nd Drive (right telegraph poles thereon; viewing northwest) south side, between 108th Street (background) and 110th Street (foreground to be constructed, just east of the barns) showing in three views the Lott farmhouse. Johannes S. Lott, a farmer, lived near Woodhaven. His son Stephen I. Lott was born their in 1799. He married Cornelia Rapelje and sold his property in the town of Jamaica in 1834 and removed to the first mentioned location. He died in Jamaica South, in 1871. His son Abraham Van Siclen Lott was born at Woodhaven in 1829 and married Cornelia De Bovise of Dutch Kills in 1864. About 1869, he and his brother John Henry rented this homestead; his father removing to Jamaica South. When the estate was settled, this property, now called Viamede, came into the possession of Abraham V.S. Lott. April 1923. Views 1,2 and 3 Eugene L. Armbruster Collection
