Queens: Main Street - 37th Avenue
Main Street; west side, between Thirty-seventh Ave. (left) and Northern Boulevard (right), showing an old 3½-story frame hip-roofed house said to have been built, according to the City Club Guide, at the end of the 18th Century. This building in 1923 was renovated, its front changed to brick and the hip taken out of the roof, substituting a flat roof therefor. It was then known as the Riesenburger Building and was No. 27 Main Street. It was demolished in 1933. This is a set of two views. 1922. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
