Manhattan: 18th Street - 3rd Avenue
18th Street, south side, west from, but not including, Third Avenue. The building in front of which the man is standing, 142 East 18th Street, built in 1869, is one of the first apartment houses in the United States, and is still in use. About 1915. C. P. Cushing, from Ewing Galloway. NEG, # 4682
