Manhattan: York Avenue - 76th Street

York Avenue (formerly Avenue A), west side, 76th to 77th Streets. 1433-35 (York Avenue uses the old Avenue A numbers) on the N.W. corner of 76th Street, were built a little prior to 1885, and the house on the S.W. corner of 77th Street around 1895. 1439 York Avenue, the little 3-story frame house in the middle of the block, antedates them all; it was there in 1879.
