Queens: Farmers Boulevard - Henderson Avenue

199-20 Farmers Boulevard, at the N.W. corner of Henderson Ave., showing the A.J. Debevoise house built by him about 1870 and lived in by him and members of the family from 1873 to 1923. It became the 4th Executive Democratic Club in 1934. This A.J. was born in the original Debevoise homestead, located on Bushwick Ave. and Kossuth Place, which is still owned by the family. The present structure was erected on the old D. Ludlum farmhouse site. The barn in view No. 1 is probably over one hundred years old, the smoke house being in the center and viewed in a southwest direction from Ninety-ninth Ave. No. 2 is north from about One Hundred Second Ave; No. 3 being eastward and showing the rear of the house.
