View 1 is toward the East River from Whitehall Building and shows prominently the Standard Oil and the International Telephone (flag) Buildings. In the foreground is the old tower of the Produce Exchange. Brooklyn is in the background. View 2 is southwestward across Battery Park and the Acquarium. The Standard Oil Building is on the right and on the left is the City Bank Farmers Trust Building.
