Manhattan: Riverside Drive - 155th Street

Riverside Drive, west side (actually north side, as the Drive forms a sharp loop at this point) between West 155th and 158th Streets, showing the interior of a triangular block formed by the Drive and West 158th Street with its western edge facing the North (Hudson) River. Several frame dwellings and numerous garages are located therein. Both of these views are northward; No. 1 from on the West 156th Street line, and No. 2 from West 157th Street (alongside of No. 799 Riverside Drive, the frame dwelling shown on the (right) of No.1. In No. 2 are shown the rears of Nos. 648 to 636 West 158th Street, a portion of a row of private dwellings on the south side of the street and west of the Drive. The entrance to this Village would be on the left of the tree, bearing sign. Fall 1924. P. L. Sperr.
