Brooklyn: Washington St. - Johnson St.

(1) Washington Street, east side, between Johnson Street and Myrtle Ave. A view of the "Commonwealth Hall" at No. 323-327 Washington Street. The segment of a building No. 319, visible at left, housed the (Central Post Office) of the City of Brooklyn until 1892, when it was removed to the Federal Building, white structure, shadowing the view at the extreme left. 1909. The building to the left, No. 315 Washington Street, was occupied at one time (1880-?) by the police department of the City of Brooklyn.
