Manhattan: Battery Park - U.S. Barge Office.

(1) Battery Park: A view of the U.S. Barge Office, on the water's edge, at the southeastern corner of the Park. Partially shown, at the rear of the same, is the South Ferry Landing. These have been replaces, as shown in View No. 3. About 1900 August Loeffler P. L. Sperr Collection (2) A northward view of same, from the water. Note to the left of same, the old Washington Building and to the right, the Produce Exchange Building; all bearing flags. This point, the southernmost tip of Manhattan, is the confluence of the North (Hudson) and the East Rivers, forming what is known as the Upper Bay.
