Manhattan: 1st Ave. - 48th St.

First Avenue, east side, north from and including 48th Street. The approach to the Queensboro Bridge may be seen on the horizon. The tall apartment house on the S.E. corner of 49th Street was built early in 1929. The building on the N.E. corner of 49th Street (Mitchell Place) is the Pan-Hellenic Building, a residence for sorority girls and sorority clubs; it was built in the spring and summer of 1928.
