Manhattan: Cannon Street - Broome Street

Cannon Street, south from Broome, to Grand Streets, where this thoroughfare terminates. The buildings seen thru the center are on Jackson Street. The utilitarian structure to the left of the same is Public School No. 12. This is at the N.W. corner of the Madison Street. Note in the foreground the cleared lots at the corners. These have become typical of the effect of the enforcement of the fire and health provisions of the tenement house laws. May 7, 1929 P.L. Sperr
