Manhattan: 54th Street (West) - 5th Avenue

(1) West 54th Street, west from Fifth Ave. On the left are the two Rockefeller homes; that of the late John D. Sr. being the first. A more elaborate and costly structure is adjacent to same and is known as the John D. Jr. residence. This property, recently bequeathed to the Museum of Modern Art will be utilized by the recipients for a new and larger Museum than their former home on 53rd Street. March 19, 1938. P. L. Sperr.
