111 John Street, between Cliff and Pearl Streets, (general view southwestward). This set of three views forms a panoramic arrangement showing the skyline formed by financial buildings on and surrounding Wall Street. Across same from left to right, the prominent structures are No. 1 Cedar Street, (left foreground), the Wall and Hanover Building, the H. L. Dougherty Building (center of No. 1), the International Telephone Building (flag atop), the National City Building (vault-like top), the Bank of New York Building (ornamentation), the Equitable Trust Co. Building, the Bank of Manhattan Building, the Bankers Trust Co. Building (pyramidal roof), the Irving Trust Co. Building (under construction), the Chase National Bank Building, and the twin Equitable Buildings. In the foreground are numerous other structures some of which are, in the same order: the aformentioned No. 1 Cedar Street, the 25 story Fire Companies Building (left margin of View 1 and center of View 2), the 12 story Bishop Building and the Federal Reserve Building (right center of View 3).
