Queens: Metropolitan Avenue - 71st Avenue

Metropolitan Avenue, north side, east of Seventy-first Avenue, showing in two views the old and the new De Bevoise house. The new house was erected about 1890 and is on the site of the old house which was moved further west. The old house was demolished in 1924; the new house is not standing in 1929. View No. 1 also shows the rears of a group of houses on the south side of Nansen Street, between Seventy-first and Forty-second [transcriber's note: should read "Seventy-second", not "Forty-second"] Avenues.
