Queens: Broadway - St. James Avenue

Broadway east side, at and adjoining St. James Avenue. At the extreme right, partially shown, is the St. James P.E. Parsonage. The building in the center of the view was partly occupied by Dr. F. Boothe in 1875. Mrs. Palmer was the owner in 1873 and Dr. Coombs in 1891. The house at the left was the property of W.S. Wood in 1873. Dr. Boothe was born in Connecticut in 1836 and came to Newtown about 1875. He still resided here in 1896. All buildings between St. James Avenue and the Long Island Railroad, Flushing, and North Side Division, on the east side of Broadway, were erected by Samuel Lord in 1850. 1922 Views 1 and 2 View 3:1924 View 4:April 1925.
