Lutheran Church, which was organized on November 17, 1867. June 1923. The fiftieth anniversary of the dedicating of the edifice of St. Peter's Lutheran Church was celebrated yesterday morning by the congregation. The sermon was by the Rev. Dr. Ellis B. Burgess, president of the United Lutheran Synod of New York. The Rev. Dr. J. G. F. Blaesi, pastor, officiated at the altar, wearing a silk robe and clerical vest given him in honor of his forty years as a clergman, which he will complete in July, according to the New York Times of May 23, 1938.
