Manhattan: Broadway - 27th Street

(1) Broadway, east side, from 29th to 27th Streets. In the immediate foreground is the Hotel Breslin. The large white building, in the extreme right background is the Victoria Building, on the site of the Hotel Victoria, which was made famous by the patronage of President Grover Cleveland. P. L. In the foreground is the old Gilsey House, built in the early 1870s, converted into an office building between 1910 and 1916, and still standing in 1936. P. L.
