Manhattan: 8th Avenue - Hudson Street

Eighth Avenue, north from Hudson Street, showing in the foreground the Abingdon Square area. The Park identifying same is at the left. In the background, at 14th Street, appears the County Trust Company Building. View 2 is the same area several years later and showing the new apartment houses that have sprung up around the Square. At the left is the 20 story building, No. 299 W. 12th Street. On the right is the 16-story structure, No. 20 Abingdon Square. On the margin one observes the 6-story residential building that replaced the former Abingdon Hotel (demolished 1931) and adjacent homes.
