Queens: 57th Road - 61st Street

57th Road, west of 61st Street (right not shown), showing a rear view of homes facing on Maspeth Ave. The low 1½ story structure on the left is No. 6051 Maspeth Ave., and is at the S.W. corner. Here, G.M. Hyatt resided in 1852, opposite the Quaker Meeting House which was at the S.E. corner (extreme right and not shown) and at that date a schoolhouse, having been discontinued as a place of worship in 1810. St. Stanislos Roman Catholic Church was erected there. (In 1923.) Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. 1922.
