Manhattan: Fulton Street - Pearl Street

Fulton Street, west from Pearl Street. This thoroughfare makes a slight bend at Gold Street. The 12-story structure there, No's. 81-5 Fulton Street, 57 Gold Street and 90 Ann Street, housed the Market and Fulton office of the Irving Trust Co. in 1922. It was demolished in 1930 and a 20-story annex erected to the adjoining Royal Insurance Co. Building. This stage appears in View 3. View 1: 1906 George L. Sperr This structure, erected in 1888, formerly housed the Market and Fulton National Bank, an organization that succeeded the Market Bank (founded in 1852) and the Fulton Bank (organized in 1824). These were consolidated on December 20, 1887 (National charter dated 1864) and this new structure erected on the site of the Fulton Bank. The Market Bank in 1854 established itself at Beekman and Pearl Streets removing here on the unification. On an upper floor is the Fulton Club.
