Richmond: Manor Road - Rockland Avenue

Manor Road, west side, 500 yards north of Rockland Avenue and 225 feet back of the road. This house belonged to Dr. O. Rotton, according to Beers's maps of 1874 and 1887. In 1898 it was the Edward Hibberd home, and in 1907 the Fanny J. Byne's house (Robinson maps). In the far background, on the crest of the hill, are buildings of Sea View Hospital. Mr. Sperr states that the house was built be- tween 1850 and 1860. 1924 P. L. Sperr
