Manhattan: Park Avenue - 65th Street

Park Avenue, east side, south from E. 67th to 65th Streets, and showing prominently the Seventh Regiment Armory occupying the 67th -66th Street frontage. This structure, built in 1878-80 formerly had a pointed steeple where the flag is flying. The photographer is viewing same from a similar vantage point in both instances (S.W. corner of Park Avenue and 68th Street) and shows the changed railing used in fencing the center plot dividing the traffic lanes.
