Manhattan: Morningside Avenue - 122nd Street (West)

Morningside Avenue, west side, north from W. 122nd Street (photographers vantage point) showing a corner of Morningside Park and a demolition, at the S.W. and N.W. corners of 123rd Street respectively. This last feature is of recent occurance and will be extended to include the Rockefeller owned tenements on 124th Street of which the rears appear. An account to this effect was carried in the New York Times of October 5, 1938. To the west is the Lincoln School of Teachers College, tho same does not appear in this view. Note St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church facing on Roosevelt Square and occupying a site at the N.W. corner of this Avenue and W. 125th Street. March 19, 1938 P.L. Sperr
