Queens: Hillside Avenue - Winchester Boulevard

AIRPLANE VIEW OF CREEDMOOR STATE HOSPITAL FOR THE CARE OF THE INSANE — The buildings in the background have already been built. In the foreground can be seen excavations, foundation walls and service supplies for the proposed new group of buildings. This will provide 1,044 additional patient beds and 229 employees(?). Also shown in this picture is the foundation of the Admimstration Building. This is an important institution in the State's chain of State Hospitals in that it is designed(?) to relieve the overcrowding at Brooklyn State Hospital and to help meet the future growth of the Metropolitan District
