Manhattan: 5th Avenue - 50th Street

Fifth Avenue, east side, between E.50th and E.51st Streets, showing one of the maples which will be planted in front of St. Patricks Cathedral. It is one of twelve Schwedleri maples--and four English elms--presented to the cathedral by Major Edward Bowes. This shows the tree in Westchester County from where it will be transplanted. 1939
