Bronx: 252nd Street (West) - Broadway

WAVE HILL 675 West 252nd Street, Riverdale, Bronx. Built in late Federal style for William Lewis Morris about 1830, this three-story country house of local fieldstone has a decidedly English atmosphere. Among Wave Hill's famous residents were Theodore Roosevelt, Mark Twain and Arturo Toscanini. Guests in the house have included Thackeray, Herbert Spencer, Thomas Huxley and Queen Mother Elizabeth.
