Brooklyn: Elderts Lane - Jamaica Avenue

(1) Elderts Lane, at the S.W. corner of Jamaica Ave., showing Dan Cobb's grocery store at what is now (1929) 1004 Jamaica Ave. This structure was erected on Ackerly's ground. It was conducted as a store by Daniel Cobb from 1850 (?) to 1860. It is not a store on the maps of 1873. The building was demolished in April 1925. A 1-story garage occupies the site.
