Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel: Parade, marching south on First Avenue past the filling station adjoining the S.W. corner of 109th Street. A woman in the center of the picture is carrying wax votive images of a head and an abdomen. These will be carried into the church and laid at Our Lady's altar. The filling station in the background was built since 1925, replacing three old frame sheds. The angle made by the building on the left is due to the property line, which at this point coincided with the S.W. side of Roosevelt Road, a country road long since obliterated. July 16, 1930. P. L.
