East 90th Street, north side, east from Lexington to Third Aves., showing an 8-story structure, No. 159-163, occupied until recently by the Manhattan General Hospital. In the early part of 1937 they moved into the vacated building, on the west side of Second Ave., between East 17th and 18th Streets, that was formerly the Lying-In Hospital; the latter in turn having become associated in New York Hospital and Cornell Medical College Center.

According to the New York Times of January 3, 1938, Nos. 149 to 157 East 90th Street will be demolished and the site improved by a 6-story structure. This site comprises the buildings between the Hospital and the two corner buildings seen in the foreground.
