Bronx: Independence Avenue - 254th Street (West)

Independence Ave. (foreground, not seen), east side, between West 254th and West 256th Street. The road here shown was the private driveway, running northeastward, on the Burghard Steiner estate. It commenced at Independence Ave., about 325 feet north of West 254th Street and met West 256th Street at Blackstone Ave. The barn, on the left, will be exactly at the S.W. corner of West 256th Street and Blackstone Ave. when the thoroughfares are cut through at this point.
