Bronx: Westchester Avenue - Wheeler Avenue

Westchester Avenue (foreground), north side, from Wheeler Avenue (right) to Bronx River Avenue, showing part 3 of a panoramic view of the large Watson estate when north-and-south-bound thoroughfares were being cut through the property. Viewing from right to left can be seen the beds of Evergreen and Colgate Avenues. Shown, too, are the tracks of the New Haven Railroad and the sloping area lying on the right bank of the Bronx River. Many two-story brick dwellings were later constructed in this area. About 1910
