Brooklyn: 53rd Street (East) - Beverly Road

(1) 516 East 53rd Street. east side, north of Beverly Road, showing the Stryker home. It stood originally on what to-day (1936) is East 51st and 52nd Streets, between Tilden Ave., and Beverly Road; and the estate comprised about twenty Brooklyn blocks. It was moved to its present site and stuccoed in 1929. It was also known as the Van Wyck house, and was built in the late 18th Century. 1925. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
